On December 30th, CBC's The Early Edition spotlighted the Dr. Peter Centre's Canoe Project. The Frontline Solutions initiative focuses on improving harm reduction services for Indigenous communities through culturally safe training, knowledge-sharing networks, and resources that integrate Indigenous Ways of Knowing and Doing. 

Susan Powell, an Elder with our Indigenous Wellness Program, and Sherri Pooyak, who recently facilitated a session for the initiative, sat down to discuss the holidays, harm reduction from an Indigenous perspective, the impacts of the Canoe Project and the Dr. Peter Centre's efforts.
